Blacksburg -- Michael M. Harrison, 53, of 279 Lancaster Drive, Blacksburg, passed away September 5th, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, Mr. Harrison was the husband of Dianne Borders Harrison of the home and the son of Lucy Jones Harrison and the late Melvin Eugene Harrison. He worked as a maintenance technician and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of Buffalo Lodge #202, Sons of the Confederacy, and York Rite Hejaz Shriner and Scottish Rite of SC.
In addition to his wife and his mother, Mr. Harrison is survived by one son, Rex A. Harrison of Blacksburg; two step-daughters, Lisa Jolly and Lynn Brown, both of Blacksburg; and one sister, Cathy Moore of Blacksburg.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 7th, 2012 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8th, at 2:00pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites .
