Michael Wheat passed away at Wendover Hospice February 8, 2022.

A native of Cherokee Co. SC, he was born to the late William and Judy Wright Wheat. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Roger, Kenny and Ronnie Wheat and sister June Ann Rudolph.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Bobbie Webb Wheat, of the home, stepson Thomas Joseph Abbott of Shelby, daughter Rhonda Wease and husband Geoff of Earl, sister Linda Atkins and husband Johnny of Grover, grandchildren Wade Waddell, Mattie and Tilley Abbott and great grandchildren Maliyah and Isaiah Waddell.

Michael had a very artistic side and loved to draw. He was an huge Carolina Panther fan. He also loved fishing and golfing.

A private funeral service will be held by the family.
