Michael Wilton Sprouse transitioned to heaven on Monday, September 7, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 18, 1948 in Rutherford County, North Carolina on the property where he lived. His wife of 53 years, Linda Ruff Sprouse, was the love of his life. Together, they raised 5 children.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Ruff Sprouse of the home; children, Kevin Michael Sprouse, James Douglas Sprouse, Casey Edwin Sprouse, Marina Faith Ruff and Serena Sky Ruff; sister, Sonya Simmons; brothers, Rusty Sprouse and R. Keith Sisk; a host of grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, John W. Sprouse; brother, Daniel Kenneth Sprouse; sisters, Donna Sprouse McDaniel and Gail Reid.

During his lifetime, he proudly served in the United States Army. After he got out of the military he became a Truck Driver. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will truly be missed.

Per his request, burial will be Private Family Services.
