Mike Sharpe, age 53, of Ellenboro, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Henderson Care of Forest City.
Born September 29, 1960 in Providence, Rhode Island, he was a son of the late Troy Sharpe and Jean Sisk Sharpe. Mike worked many years for All-American Homes as a carpenter. He enjoyed playing ball, water skiing, fishing and rafting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Sharpe.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Sharpe; daughter, Nicole Billings and husband, Eric of Rutherfordton; son, Cameron Sharpe of the home and two grandchildren, Jacob Sharpe and Caleb Strother. He is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Sharpe and wife, Karen of San Diego, CA; sister, Pam Gragg and husband, Mark of Ellenboro; nephew, Jason Selph and three nieces, Sarah Navaro, Rachel James and Alexis Sharpe.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Riverside Baptist Church with Reverend Ted Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
