Mildred Lee Moore Mance

Mrs. Mildred  Lee Moore Mance, 80, of  1327 N. Lafayette St. Shelby, NC departed this life on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Hospice House of Kings Mountain, NC.  She was born on October 1, 1932 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Thurman and Rosa Lee Robbs Moore. 

 

Mrs. Mance worked for a number of years at Beam Nursing Home and Jackson Cafeteria.  She was a devoted and faithful member of Vision Baptist Cathedral in Shelby and attended church faithfully until her health began failing several months ago.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Mance; a daughter, Sylvia Parrott; a son, James, Rudisill, Jr. and two sisters, Dorothy Moore and Hazeline Lowe.

 

She is survived by three sons, Stephen Louis Moore of Arizona, Rev. Charles Rudisill (Laura) of Shelby, NC and Ronald Rudisill of Atlanta, GA; four daughters, Gail Glover (Craig) and Barbara Surratt both of Shelby, Alice Tolbert (Charles) of West Covina, CA and Kathy Twitty of Forest City, NC; an uncle, Robert Moore of Charlotte, NC; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Webber officiating.  Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM at the chapel on Monday and at other times at the home of her daughter, Barbara Surratt, 1145 Bridges St. Shelby, NC.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Cleveland County and their staff for their love and the care given to our mother as well as her three wonderful supportive and caring neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones and Mrs. Reba Ricker of Shelby.
