Minnie Hall Kilby
 Minnie Hall Kilby, 91, of Belwood Lawndale Rd, Lawndale, passed away
Saturday, May 25, 2013 at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

She was born in Cocke County, TN on September 11, 1921 to the late James
Vineyard Hall and Rosie Phillips Hall.  She retired from Firestone Textiles
in Gastonia in the personnel and insurance department after 40 plus years of
service.  Minnie was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she worked
with the nursery and sang in the senior choir as long as her health allowed.
She also volunteered with Hands on Missions and enjoyed the Lawndale Senior
Group.  Mrs. Kilby also loved her family, by being the one to keep up with
her nieces and nephews and see the family reunion always took place.  She
loved her church family and  most of all  her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents,  she was preceded in death by her husband, James
Robert Kilby Sr. and nine brothers and sisters.

She was survived by her son Rev. James "Jim" R. Kilby Jr. and wife Wanda of
Lawndale; granddaughter, Emily Kilby Parker and husband Kenny of Lawndale;
grandson, Bobby Kilby and wife Miranda of Casar; two great-grandchildren,
Justin Parker and Anzlee Kilby, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Monday, New Bethel Baptist Church, Lawndale.

Officiating, Dr. Tim Elmore, Rev. Ronell Owensby.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
