Miriam Elisabeth Fincher Todd
 Miriam Elisabeth Fincher Todd of 3703 Hickory Nut Road, Shelby passed away peacefully Sunday, November 13, 2011 in her home, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

 

Born in LaGrange, Georgia on July 29, 1924, she was the middle daughter of the late Annie Dortch Pitman Fincher and Millard Filmore Fincher. A homemaker, she was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Her love of nature was surpassed only by the love she had for her children and grandchildren. She was a beacon of love, light and devotion for all who knew her.

 

Miriam is survived by her son, Philip Brook Todd and his wife, Amy Freeman Todd of Shelby; her daughter, Parrish Todd and husband, Rob Paulsen of Agoura Hills, California; her son, Scott Schenck and wife Carol of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands;  her sisters, Mildred Fincher Efland of Dunwoody, Georgia and Phyllis Fincher Smith of Arlington, Texas and  six grandchildren, Scott Todd Schenck, Ashlyn Todd Harris and husband, Greg Harris, Ashton Todd Paulsen, Joe Freeman, Kellyn Parrish Todd and Joshua Freeman.

 

There will be a private service at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday with Scott Norton officiating.

 

Burial will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange, Georgia.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
