Monroe J. R. Mullinax

Monroe J. R. Mullinax, 65, 165 Old Chester Road, went home to be with the Lord, March 2, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband and best friend to his wife, Tena Spearman Mullinax, and was a son of the late Monroe and Mary Moore Mullinax. He loved to travel, spend time with his grandkids and was an avid Gamecock fan. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Voice Of Triumph Church. He was retired from Wendell Fabrics.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife, Tena, are two sons - Gary K. Shull and wife, Cindy, of Vale, NC, and Jeff Mullinax; of Blacksburg, SC; four sisters - Sheila Beverly and husband, Ted, of Wateree, SC, Robin Farr and husband, Willard, of Jonesville, SC, Carolyn Capps and husband, James, of Charlotte, NC, and Judy Ross and husband, Whitney, of Blacksburg, SC; four grandchildren - Kendra Shull, Jrake Mullinax, Trinity Shull and Tiara Shull; and one great-grandchild - Mason Shull. In addition ot his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers - Gene Mullinax, Joe Dean Mullinax and Johnny Lee Mullinax; and one sister - Goldie Wray.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, 2015, from 2:00 - 3:30 PM, at Voice Of Triumph Church. A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 3:30 PM with Revs. Gregg Martin and Ernest and Ann Rodgers officiating. Entombment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. At other times, they will be at the home.
