Morris Foster, 82, of 372 Foster Lake Rd, passed away on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Blacksburg, SC, he was the widower of Martha Foster and the son of the late Lewis and Vera Roberts Foster. Morris was a simple man. The last movie he bought was in Betamax format, he would only listen to whatever was playing on the country music radio stations, and he always watched the NASCAR races. Morris formerly owned Gulf Oil Stations in Gaffney, Blacksburg, and Grover and was a 1959 graduate of Blacksburg High School.

Surviving Mr. Foster are his children: Danny Foster, Patty Cochran, DeAnn Foster, David Foster, Alex Foster; a step-son, Chris Gardner; two sisters, Doris Gorman and Shirley Allen; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Foster was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Foster, and a sister, Nell Hammett.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Mt. Paran Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Michael D. Owen officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Paran Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes.
