Born April 21, 1918 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Rome Canipe and Nancy Jane Pruitt Canipe. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Casar and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Morris Warlick, two sons, Joe Warlick and Robert Warlick, one daughter, Catherine Wingler,  three brothers, Roscoe Smith, Rance Smith, and Tommy Canipe, four sisters, Nellie Hendrick, Lola Swink, Hattie Huffman, Leona Smith, three grandsons, John F. Warlick Jr., Richard Warlick, and Gerald Wayne Warlick, and one great grandson, James David Warlick II.

Survivors include one son, John Warlick of Harris, NC, two daughters, Peggy Self and husband Wayne of Lawndale, and Dot Downs and husband Lee of Casar, daughter-in-law, Margaret Warlick of Casar, one brother, Junior Canipe of Shelby, 15 grandchidren, 22 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitaion will be Sunday November 13, 2011 at Stamey Funeral Home from 1:30 until 3:00PM.

The funeral service will be Sunday November 13, 2011 at 3:00PM at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Buff officiating.

Burial will be in Clover Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
