HENDERSONVILLE - Myrtle C. Ayers, 75, who lived in Polkville for the last several years, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Four Seasons Hospice with her friend by her side.
Born in Rutherford County on December 31, 1940 to the late Ben and Eve Bumgardner Chapman. She is also predeceased by a brother Zebby Chapman.
Myrtle is survived by a special and dear friend, Mary Dotson that stayed by her side for quite a few years and took care of her.
She loved to play basketball in her younger years and loved being around children since she had none of her own.
A private graveside service is planned for a later date.
