Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late William Irvin Moore and Betty Davis Moore.  Mrs. Collins was formerly employed by Clear Knit in Clover and worked part time at Hardees in Kings Mountain. A member of Harvest  Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, she enjoyed fishing with her grandson Richard Jr.  Her best friend and companion to the end was Jetta. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins was preceded in death husbands, Ed Adams and Gene Collins; two sons, Michael and Vassey Adams; four brothers, B.R. Moore, William E. Moore Jr., Clifford Rippy and R.K. Moore and three sisters, Barbara Jean Moore,  Pauline Moore Clemmer and Victoria Moore.

Mrs. Collins is survived by son, Jerry Edward Adams and wife, Barbara of Fallston; daughter, Mary Linda Christopher and husband, Jeffery of Lincolnton; three step children, Earl Collins, Donna Collins Erwin and Ernie Collins all of Virginia; brothers, Bobby Moore of Kings Mountain and David Moore of Patterson Springs; sister, Alpha O. Smith of Rockwell; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, special caregiver, Leighanne Adams.

Visitation:  The family will receive friends from 4 to 6, Sunday at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.

Funeral:  1 PM Monday at Harvest Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.
