Nancy Jane Hastings Cook, 81 of 4126 Polkville Road, Shelby passed away
February 28, 2016 at her residence.

Born April 1, 1934 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Moses
Andrew Hastings and Goldie Ann Walker Hastings. She was a homemaker and a
member of St. Paul Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul
Hastings, Hugh Lee Hastings, Earl Hastings and Nelson Hastings.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Brady Lee Cook; son, David Cook
of Polkville; two daughters, Brenda Cook of Shelby and Cindy McCraw and
husband, Scott of Shelby; two grandchildren, Chris McCraw and wife, Morgan
and Nathan Cook; great grandson, Gunnar McCraw; two brothers, W.A. Hastings
of Lawndale and Dale Hastings of Lincolnton; five sisters, Elosie Campbell
of Morganton; Dorothy Ann Randall of Valdese; Mozelle Lingerfelt of
Belmont; Muriel Brooks of Concord and Roberta Pennland of Connelly Springs.


Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00PM Thursday at St. Paul Baptist
Church.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at St. Paul Baptist Church with
Rev. Keith Fulbright and Rev. Archie Brown officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
