Miss Nancy Jane McArthur, 85, of 1404 N. Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010. Services were held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Miss McArthur was preceded in death by her parents, William Porter McArthur, Sr. and Neva Belle Hester McArthur; 2 brothers, George Austin McArthur and William Porter McArthur, Jr.
She is survived by 1 sister, Dora Belle McArthur Singleton and husband Clayton of Shelby; 1 sister-in-law, Katherine McArthur of Charlotte; 3 nieces; 3 nephews; 6 great-nephews; 6 great-nieces; and 3 great-great-nephews.
