Cherryville – Mrs. Nancy Louise Mauney Castleberry, 88, of 1032 Mary’s Grove Rd. passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 at her residence.

Louise was born in Gaston County, NC on January 27, 1924 a daughter of the late John Presley Mauney and Mary Reynolds Mauney.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy W. Hamrick; second husband, Jim Castleberry; a daughter, Carole Hemric Halupke; two brothers, Wayne and John David Mauney; and a sister Martha Long Berry.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Pete Hamrick and Sandy; four daughters and sons-in-law, Libby and Gary Hallman, Sharon and Paul King and Lisa and Larry Beattie all of Cherryville and Sandra and Sandy Twyman of California; a son-in-law, Walter Halupke of Marietta, GA and 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.  Louise is also survived by her loving dog and companion Allie.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 6:00 until 7:30PM at Stamey~Cherryville Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Eric Childers officiating.

Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
