NANCY MOSELEY TAYLOR

DATE OF BIRTH:    May 12, 1935                                DATE OF DEATH: January 22, 2011

SHELBY- Mrs. Nancy Moseley Taylor, 75, of 1106 Ladell Lane, died Sat., Jan. 22, 2011 at her home.  A native of Rutherford County., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Martha Geraldine Lane Abernathy.  She worked as a real estate broker in Cleveland County for many years and retired from PPG.  She was a member of Westview Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Abernathy.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her two sons, James Marshall Kennon and wife Patti Stone of Eagle River, Alaska and James Thomas Kennon and wife Melissa of Shelby; 3 daughters, Susan Stout McCarty and husband Patrick of Shelby, Janet Moseley Gardner and husband David of Kings Mountain and Rebecca Gail Moseley Wilson of Shelby; three sisters Flossie A Pinnix of Winston-Salem, Doris A. Secrest and husband Rev. Wayne of Lexington and Sarah A. Rector and husband Glenn of Welcome; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Stout of Ohio, Brad Kennon , Shelley Ewing and her husband Josh, all of Alaska, Andrew and Adam Gardner, both of Kings Mountain, Will McCarty, Micheal Wilson, Savannah and Tyler Weaver and Jacob Kennon, all of Shelby; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Breydan Ewing of Alaska; a sister-in-law Patty Abernathy of Washington State; and two special friends, Betty Jo Mace and Lee Corley, both of Shelby.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held 6pm Monday at Westview Baptist Church

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Monday from 4:30-6pm, at the church

CLERGY: Revs. Rick Bowling, Tracy Jessup, Jim Brackett, and Wayne Secrest will be officiating
