Cleveland County Partnership for Children is now accepting applications and making appointments to screen children for the NC Pre-Kindergarten Program for the up-coming school year 2014-2015. This screening is for parents who would like for their child to attend one of our NC Pre-Kindergarten Programs housed in the following child care centers: Apples of Gold Preschool, Kiddieland Child Development Center and La Petite Academy. Children served in the NC Pre-Kindergarten Program must be 4 years old on or before August 31 and reside in Cleveland County.
North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten (NC Pre-K) is a FREE state-funded, pre-kindergarten program. This program is designed to provide 4-year old children, who may not otherwise be served, with a high quality early childhood learning environment that leads to educational success. The NC Pre-K program provides young children with access to a valuable curriculum which includes literacy, numbers, math, fine and gross motor development and problem solving skills. There is no cost for parents to enroll their child in this program. Details: The NC Pre-Kindergarten Program is designed to provide 4-year old children, who may not otherwise be served, with high quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness which leads to educational success.
