"Memory Making with Ornaments" - Participants will have the opportunity to make holiday ornaments in memory of their loved one. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Join The Town of Grover Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11:00am to 6:00pm for Christmas! They have a full day planned, from a traditional Christmas Parade to meeting with Santa on his sleigh. They will also have a couple of special guests from Arendelle...Anna & Elsa! Your kids will have great day with the Reindeer Games and fun bounce houses, which are all free! So come to Main Street in Grover for some holiday fun! And stick around until evening for Grover's 1st Annual Tree Lighting.

Town of Earl
The Town of Earl will have their Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 6, 2015. After the parade, everyone is invited to a community service at New Hope Baptist Church, at 4:30pm. Expect to hear joyous singing. A soup and sandwich supper will follow the service.
Shelby Lions Club Distribution
The Shelby Lions Club will be distributing USDA Commodities on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds. Those who wish to come to the fairgrounds and fill out an application will only need some identification and must live in Cleveland County. If a person is unable to come in person, they may send a note stating the number in the family, their address and their whole family income, signed by them.
Casar Elementary School
Please donate new and used items at the Casar Elementary School office for the Angel Tree Benefit Christmas Sale. The sale is on Friday and Saturday, December 11 and 12, 2015, at the old Casar Fire Dept. starting at 8:00am. All proceeds go to benefit Casar Elementary School's Angel Tree. The Town of Casar is now taking entries for the Casar Christmas Parade. The parade is on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 3:00pm, lineup is at 1:30pm. Make sure and bring candy. They still throw candy. Foothills Post-Polio Support Group
The Foothills Post-Polio Support Group, formerly called the Cleveland County Post-Polio Support Group, will hold the December meeting at the conference room of the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 6:00 in the evening. They will have pick-up food and have a Christmas party. The conference room is located at the back of the building. The center is located off Hwy 18 North on Life Enrichment Blvd, just north of Cornerstone Dentistry. Each person attending should bring his/her own choice of holiday pick-up delights. Drinks- coffee and water - will be provided. If you are a polio survivor please plan to attend. Feel free to bring a caregiver with you. Gaston County VFW Bingo Christmas Season
Gaston County VFW will hold their Christmas Season Bingo, on Fridays, at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9337, 3250 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC. Early games start at 6:30pm, and regular games at 7:00pm. Smoke-free event. Public invited. Fridays (Exceptions: no Bingo on December 25, 2015 or January 1, 2016).
