What: 32nd Annual Ride for the Children

When: 12:00 pm, December 19.

Where: Cleveland Mall, 2001-53 E. Dixon Blvd., Shelby, NC.

More Info: Windjammers Motorcycle Club has organized and participated in a fundraising Toy Ride for The Children helping to provide Christmas gifts for kids in foster care, and to support the work of the Children's Homes of Cleveland County. This year the pandemic has had a huge impact on our fundraising efforts throughout the year so we are calling on the community to join in supporting this annual event. Riders will begin assembling at the Cleveland Mall at noon with "kick stands up" at 1:00 pm. The route takes them from East Shelby all the way to Aaron's Home in Lattimore where the gifts will be delivered. All are welcome to join in the thunderous parade of bikes whether you have a motorcycle or not. In response to the pandemic physical distancing and masks will be required and the parade will not stop but will simply roll slowly past the home on its way back to Shelby. More Info: C.A.R.E.'s Home for the Holidays Virtual Baked Goods Auction gives you a chance to buy on-line some of our county's finest bakers, there will be cakes, pies, candies, cookies, snacks, breads, etc., on line, and pick up (we can bring out to the car if needed) without having to get in huge crowds. Proceeds will help the abused, neglected, injured, sick, the frightened and the abandoned animals at the same time. PLEASE NOTE AUCTION WILL BE HELD ON OUR MAIN PAGE https://www.facebook.com/Cliffords.Army. Photos of each item with description will be on the facebook link and you can bid in the comments. Starting bids will also be in the description. Place bids under individual pictures in the comments. We will post the winners right after 5 pm and you may pick up starting at 6 pm. It is a win for you and a win for the animals. Homemade baked goods for the holidays without all the work, while contributing to the needy animals in our area and beyond. Want to help?
