Relay for Life
Double Springs Baptist Church will hold a Family Fun Night, Saturday, February 27, 2016, 5:00-7:30pm. Hotdog Supper (for a donation) Silent Auction. Games for all ages. Relay for Life Project.
Memory Bear Workshop - Participants will have the opportunity to make a teddy bear out of a loved one's shirt or other article of clothing. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Team Ollie will be having a Spaghetti Supper, Saturday, March 19, 2016, 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Friendship Masonic Lodge in Boiling Springs, NC. $10 a plate. Includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and drink. They will also be having a raffle for a set of Carolina Panthers acorn hole Boards. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society
Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society will meet Sunday, February 28, 2016, at 2:30pm, at the Cleveland County Office Building, 130 South Post Road, Shelby, NC. The speaker will be Jim Young from Rose Growers Supplies in Gilbert, SC. Mr. Young will give a program on "Feeding and Spraying Our Rose Bushes" and "Safety With Chemicals". Refreshments will be served and guests or potential members are welcome to attend. Membership in the rose society is open to anyone interested in growing and learning more about roses. Cherryville Little Theatre
Cherryville Little Theatre would like to invite you to journey "Into the Woods" to a place full of fairytale characters with a Brothers Grimm twist. There, you will find a baker and his wife who are frantically trying to undo a witch's curse, Cinderella, who is desperately trying to get to the ball and Jack, who would do just about anything for his pet cow, even if it means climbing a beanstalk. They will stop at nothing in order to have their wishes granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. "Into the Woods", directed by Lauren Parker, is a Tony-award winning, musically sophisticated show by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim, that gives the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy. The talented cast and crew will be taking this production to stage March 11, 12, 18, and 19, 2016 at 7:00pm and March 13 and 20, 2016, at 3:00pm. Military Extravaganza, Shelby High School
The Military Extravaganza is a charity for military organizations, and will be held at the Shelby High School, on Saturday, March 12, 2016, 9:30am - 4:30pm. They are looking for food, clothes, and money donations for these different organizations. There will a bouncie house (thanks to All American Bouncie House) for the kids so the adults have there own time. There will also be food until supplies run out (thanks to South Mountain Farms, and edible arrangements). The military veterans will also provide gift bags with different things. There will also be speakers for the event to talk about their military experience any military personnel can be speakers. American Legion Post 82 Cruise-In Fund Raiser, Shelby
American Legion Post 82 will have a Cruise-In Fund Raiser on Saturday, April 16, 2016, 10:00am to 2:00pm, 1628 S. Lafayette St. Suggested donation for vehicles entered in the cruise-in is $10. All vehicles, makes, models, motorcycles, anything that rolls is welcome. Fun family event featuring a silent auction, door prizes, music and serving our famous grilled hotdogs.
