May 20, 2016 - Relay For Life Event at Cleveland County Fairgrounds, 6:00pm til 12:00am.

"Reflections" Sharing Group - This grief sharing group meets for six weeks. No cost and open to anyone who has lost a loved one. If you plan to attend one of our groups, please make every effort to attend all six sessions. Registration forms are available at HCC Administrative Office or by calling 704-487-4677. Thursdays: January 14, 21, 28, February 3, 11, 18, 2016 - 11:30am - 1:00pm at Hospice Cleveland County Administration Building.
Memory Bear Workshop - Participants will have the opportunity to make a teddy bear out of a loved one's shirt or other article of clothing. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. Please call one of our Grief Counselors at 704-487-4677 to reserve your space. Tuesday, January 19, 2016, 9:00am - Noon or 4:00pm - 7:00pm, at Hospice Cleveland County Administration Building and Thursday, March 17, 2016, 9:00am - Noon or 4:00pm - 7:00pm, at the Testa Family Hospice House.
Foothills Post-Polio Support Group
The Foothills Post-Polio Support Group, formerly called the Cleveland County Post-Polio Support Group, will hold the January meeting at the home of Greg and Wanda Horne, located at 1180 Scenic Drive in Shelby, NC, on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 6:00 in the evening. Anyone needing directions to their home are asked to call 704-482-8807 for help. There will be a show and tell presentation of the across the country trip by Janet and Buck Walker. Coffee and water - will be provided. If you are a polio survivor please plan to attend. Feel free to bring a caregiver with you. Preschool Screening
Cleveland County Schools Preschool Screening for the 2016-2017 preschool classes will be March 7-11, 2016 (no make-up screening will be offered.) Location: Office of School Readiness, 308 W. Marion Street, Building B, Shelby, NC 28150. (Location of old Shelby Middle School, small building near tennis courts. Parking is in back.) Who: Children who live in Cleveland County and will be 4 years old by August 31, 2016. No appointments will be made after February 26, 2016. Screening provided by appointment only.

The Bipolar/depression support group is meeting every Tuesday at the Cleveland Memorial Library in the small conference room.
Shelby Friends 50 and Over
