Teddy Bear And Friends Annual BBQ Chicken Dinner will be held Friday, January 26, 2018, 4:00-7:00pm at 1205 Northside Dr., Shelby, NC. Meal includes 1/2 BBQ chicken, baked beans, slaw, roll and dessert. Tickets are $12 each. Tickets can be purchased by calling Carol Goforth at 704-472-4546.

Extension Service and Cleveland Community College in Shelby, NC is hosting Cabin Fever Saturday, February 10, 2018. Register now! Whether you are new to gardening or have cultivated many plots, the presenters here will help you learn and grow as a gardener and get your mind ready to be outside in the warmer weather we are all looking forward to. Speakers include Bryce Lane, Dr. Barbara Fair, Jeanne Aller and Amy Climi. A host of vendors, door prizes and great presentations make this event a much-needed break in the cold weather! Hearts For Hospice Fundraiser - January 1 - February 28, 2018. For a $1 donation (or more), you can purchase a heart to display in your home, office, church, anywhere you wish. There is a place for you to put "In Honor/Memory" of a loved one and a line for "From".
Hearts can be purchased at the Hospice Administration Building or by calling 704-751-3591. Proceeds support the general operations of Hospice Cleveland County. All donations due no later than March 9th.

Memory Bear & Pillow Workshop - Participants will have the opportunity to make a teddy bear or pillow out of a loved one's shirt or other article of clothing. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. Please call one of our Grief Counselors at 704-487-4677 to reserve your space. "Reflections" Sharing Group - This grief sharing group meets for six weeks. No cost and open to anyone who has lost a loved one.
