Where: Cleveland County Memorial Library, 104 Howie Dr., Shelby
More Info: Monday, July 16: Whodunit program for adults (6:00-7:00pm). Test your detective skills as we try and solve the Glass Room Mystery. July 17: Libraries Rock with Geology program for school age children (1:30-2:30pm). Learn about rocks and minerals, and decorate a rock of your own! July 18: Library Rocks with Dancing preschool story-time program (10:30-11:00am). Hear a story and then get up and move to the music! July 19: Break Out EDU program for Teens (1:30-2:30pm). Join in our own take on an escape room as you try to solve the puzzle and be the first to open the box! There is no need to register to attend. All events free and open to the public. What: Post-Polio Support Group Meeting
When: 6:00pm, July 16
Where: The location is at the rear of the Life Enrichment Center off of Hwy. 18N. on Life Enrichment Drive.
More Info: Everyone attending should bring their own meal. Coffee, and water will be provided. A program will be given by Greg Horne on home automation, sometimes called "Smart Homes". Explaining how home automation can help anyone with physical handicaps, to be able to control lighting, HVAC, and surveillance security at your home. If you are a polio survivor and would like to attend, we would love to see you there! Feel free to bring a caregiver with you. What: Summer Reading Program: Dancing Through the Ages
When: 10:00am - 12:00noon, July 18
Where: Kings Mountain Historical Museum
More Info: We are partnering with Mauney Memorial Library to host an event as a part of their Summer Reading Program. It will begin at Central United Methodist Church where Gaston County Museum will do an interactive program, "Dancing through the Ages." Afterward, the Museum's historic houses (right across the street) will be open to tour and outside will be crafts, historic games, face painting, and live music. Something fun for all ages!

What: Alzheimer's Association Education Program "Navigating a Dementia Diagnosis"

Open to individuals with a recent diagnosis and/or in the early stages of Alzheimer's and related dementia diseases, their families and care-partners, and anyone interested in learning more about planning and resources and services that are available.
