Mental Health Association
Survivor Suicide Support Group
   Survivors of Suicide Support Group, meets the last Tuesday of every month, 11:30am - 1:30 pm at the Cleveland Memorial Library. Sponsored by the Mental Health Association in Cleveland County, this support group offers support to those who have lost a loved one to suicide. All members of the group, including the facilitator, have experienced this unique loss. For details, contact the Mental Health Association at 704-481-8637 or mha@clevelandcountymha.org Family-to-Family Caregiver Support Group, meets every third Tuesday of the month, 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Cleveland County Red Cross (1333 Fallston Road, Shelby, NC 28150) Co-sponsored by the Mental Health Association in Cleveland County and NAMI Rutherford/Cleveland, this support group offers a safe space for close relatives of persons suffering from a severe mental illness to share their experience with others in a similar situation. Piecemakers Quilt Guild
  Piecemakers Quilt Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month from 10AM - 12PM at the Lincoln County Senior Center, Lincoln Campus of Gaston College, 511 Aspen Street, Lincolnton, room 319. We are here to teach and encourage those interested in the art of quilting. Visitors and new members are welcome. Meetings include a business meeting, show and tell, and a program related to quilting. The  July 11 meeting will be our annual summer picnic.  Please come and fellowship with us. Solid Rock Garden, Lawndale
  Solid Rock Community garden in Lawndale will have regular work nights on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm, now through the summer months. If you enjoy gardening and want to help grow nutritious food for our neighbors - please join us. Hospice, Cleveland County And Kings Mtn.

  Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby  will hold the following events:
   “Reflections” Sharing Group - A grief sharing group will meet for six weeks, Tuesday, July 10, 17 and 24, 5:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m.  in the Hospice Cleveland County Administration Building. No cost to anyone who has lost a loved one. Please RSVP to ext. 166 if you plan to attend.
   “Memory Bear Workshop” - Participants will have the opportunity to make a teddy bear out of a loved one’s shirt or other article of clothing. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Summer Reading Program
   DREAM BIG…Summer Reading  - Calling all dreamers! Readers of all ages will explore the night this summer as Cleveland County Library presents “Dream Big – READ!”  Activities may include programs on wishes, dreams, bedtime, creatures of the night, and camping. The Summer Reading Program is free and open to ages 3 to 12 years.  The Pre-school program is on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., and K-6th grade is on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  There is also a Pre-school and K-6th grade program on Mondays at the Spangler Branch Library. Senior Dinner Club
  The Senior Dinner Club (ages 45 and up) will meet at the Golden Corral Banquet Room, Hwy. 74, Shelby, on Friday July 6 (first Friday of each month), 6 pm-8pm. Bring your friends or come alone.    The Boiling Springs Little Chargers Football & Cheer Sign-Ups  will be held August 1st through August 3rd, 5:30-7:00 p.m. and August 6th and 7th, 5:30-7:00 p.m. This is for boys and girls grades K through 6th grade, as of this coming school year.
