More Info: The parade will feature floats, tractors, horses, antique cars, go carts, and much more. At the conclusion of the parade, a patriotic program and bluegrass entertainment will be featured at the recreation park of Lattimore Baptist Church. Concessions and lunch sold by the Lattimore Baptist Youth Department to raise funds for youth projects. Entertainment provided by Carolina Divide. Entries are needed for the parade! Businesses, families, and individuals desiring to enter floats, cars, etc. in the parade should line up on Towery Road at 8:30 am. What: 50th Anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival Fundraiser

More Info: Stop by and listen to some great tunes by the bands, Cra Cra, The Rivers End and Groovin. Vendors will be on hand selling food, beverages, crafts and more. Janet Horn Miller will instruct a yoga class for participants. Face painters and classic VWs will be on hand as well. Proceeds from the event will benefit the new Cleveland County Music Hall Fame. What: CCC Summer Enrichment Camps
More Info: Cleveland Community College is offering summer enrichment camps for rising fourth graders through rising 12th graders. The camps offer a variety of experiences, including a college boot camp that helps high school juniors and seniors navigate the process of applying for college. Campers learn how to handle the college application process, begin preparing for the ACT/SAT tests, work on interview skills and manage other related tasks. Other summer camps offer fun with science and computers through such hands-on activities as building human batteries, learning to create video games, programming with Raspberry Pi and robotic programming. He will introduce the items to take with you and what is available for first aid when you're in the back-country. This is not a certification class. Sunday, June 16 - "Skulls & Skins". Join a Park Ranger to learn about the many animals that call South Mountains home. Begins at 11:00 am in the Visitor Center auditorium. Saturday, June 22 - "Streamside Hike". 11:00 am at the Jacob Fork Parking Area. Sunday, June 23, 30 - "Fly Fishing 101". Visitor Center at 2:00 pm. This introductory class on fly fishing will meet at the Clear Creek access off Branstrom Orchard Rd. Morganton NC. Saturday, June 29 - "Wilderness Survival Class". Program is free and open to the public. Meet at the Visitor Center at 2:00 pm. South Mountains State Park is located south of Morganton off old Highway 18.
