Casar Friends of the Park
Casar's friends of the Park present free movie night at Casar park, Friday, June 17, 2016. The free movie is Zootopia! Make sure and bring a blanket and chairs. Movie starts at dark about 8:45pm at Casar Park. Snacks will be available for purchase at the hut. Children 16 and under must have an adult present.
The Town of Waco
The Town of Waco will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, June 20, 2016. The meeting will be held at 222 AW Black Street-WacoTown Hall. Meeting is to discuss 2016-2017 Budget.
The Foothills Post-Polio Support Group
The Foothills Post-Polio Support Group, formerly called the Cleveland County Post-Polio Support Group, will hold a meeting on Monday, June 20, 2016, at 6:00pm at the conference room of the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby, NC. The conference room is located at the back of the building. The center is located off Hwy 18 North on Life Enrichment Blvd, just north of Cornerstone Dentistry. Todd Putnam will give the program on Archeology. Each person attending should bring his/her own meal. Drinks: coffee and water - will be provided. If you are a polio survivor and would like to attend, they would love to see you there! Feel free to bring a caregiver with you. Cherryville Little Theatre
"Legally Blonde, Jr" will perform at Cherryville Little Theatre June 24-26, 2016. Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde Jr. is a fabulous fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show's instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass - leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink! Directors, Page Thompson, Patrick Stepp, Carver Thompson and Charley Dowda, along with the 30 cast and tech members are excited to bring this fun hearted story to life on the Cherryville stage. Tickets are $5 at the door or you can pre-purchase tickets by calling the box office at 704-842-2147. Four production times: June 24, 2016 at 7:00pm, June 25, 2016 at 3:00pm and 7:00pm, June 26 at 7:00pm. Come out and support your local theatre.
Lost Playwrights, Hendersonville
Lost Playwrights will meet Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, in the auditorium of Henderson County Library, 301 North Washington Street, Hendersonville, NC. Anyone interested in any aspect of theatre or creative writing is welcome. There are no dues.
Town of Lattimore
The Town of Lattimore invites everyone to be a part of the annual Fourth of July parade and celebration on Monday, July 4, 2016. Entries will begin lining up for the parade on Oak Drive/Towery Road at 8:00am. The parade will begin at 9:00am and go up Westlee, Main, and Price Streets. Parade entries will include law enforcement vehicles, antique cars, horses, tractors, and much more! At the conclusion of the parade, a special program will be presented at the recreation park of Lattimore Baptist Church. The program will begin around 10:00am and will include the National Anthem, the recognition of veterans, and live music by Phil and Gaye Johnson and Jack Lawrence. Come early to get a prime seat and enjoy food sold along the parade route by the Lattimore Baptist Church youth group. Biscuits, hotdogs, and drinks will be sold at the recreation park. All proceeds will go toward funding youth activities such as summer camp.
