More Info: CC Arts Council is looking for additional students who would like to join a private art class. Beginners and experienced artists are welcome! Additional dates available as well! Having difficulty fine tuning your 2D artwork? Want to create clear colors instead of muddy colors in your watercolor or acrylic paintings? Stumped by not knowing how to clean up a glaring watercolor mistake? Do you want to bump up your drawing skills with better shading, directional lighting, perspective and figure drawing? The instructor, Steven Greenway has his MFA from the Otis Art Institute. His experience includes book illustrations, graphic design, teaching, and private art instruction. He was employed as the art director for Clyde A Short and McDowell Technical Community College. Sessions are 2 hours long with individual instruction.

Jeff Stultz, AKA "Motorcycle Missionary" will cap off the evening with his powerful testimony. Jeff was once a drug addicted, violent motorcycle gang leader who ended up homeless and living on the streets. His story will share how the work being done at CCRM is just the kind of opportunity that helped him find salvation for his desperate life. More Info: ALS Family Fun Day is an event that is in honor of Timmy Thompson and all those who have lost their lives and are battling ALS. Timmy was born and raised in Kingstown, NC, and was dedicated Supervisor for The City of Shelby. He battled ALS for three years. There will be a guest speaker from The ALS Association who will discuss more about this rare disease. Proceeds will go to current ALS patients and families for medical needs, supplies, and other finance issues. Bouncey houses, basketball, sweet treats, outside games, hot food, ALS memorabilia for sell, Bingo ($50 grand prize), snow cones, raffles ($100 grand prize). Admission: Adults $4, kids $2 (kids 4 and under are free)
