Relay for Life
Team Ollie will be having a Spaghetti Supper, Saturday, March 19, 2016, 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Friendship Masonic Lodge in Boiling Springs, NC. $10 a plate. Includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and drink. They will also be having a raffle for a set of Carolina Panthers acorn hole Boards. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Cooking for a Cure with Extreme Styles, the taste of BBQ Cooked on slow smoking hickory wood for your Easter dinner. Cooked by Joey Hamrick. South Mountain Fire and Rescue

NC Cooperative Extension
The Cleveland County Extension & Community Association (ECA) Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon will be held Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Center, 130 South Post Road, Suite 1, Shelby, NC. This year's theme is: "Springtime with Birds, Butterflies and Bunnies." Tickets are $12. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Casar Easter Bash
Casar Easter Bash, Egg Hunt and Craft Show, will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016, 2:00-5:00pm at Casar Park. Shelby High School
Shelby High School will host a Military Extravaganza on Saturday, March 19, 2016, beginning at 9:30am till 4:30pm along with a honor guard to present the colors. There will be gift bags that we will hand out to the soldiers. The speakers of the event will receive a rose, only 12 can be given out. There will be different donation tables: cancer, food, money, clothes. For the end of the service there will be a honor guard to present the colors along with a moment of silence. So come out and support the United States Military.
Kings Mountain Historical Museum
Kings Mountain Historical Museum's 30th Anniversary Celebration will be Saturday, March 19, 2016, 10:00am - 4:00pm, featuring a full day of Battle of Kings Mountain themed activities. 10:00am-4:00pm Revolutionary War era reenactors will perform demonstrations throughout the day. At 12:00 noon: "Every Insult and Indignity: the Life, Genius and Legacy of Major Patrick Ferguson" Program and Firearms Demo by Ricky Roberts. 2:00pm - 4:00pm: The dulcet tunes of the Log Cabin String Band will transport visitors back in time at the Museum Commons. Kingstown Community Watch
Kingstown Community watch will be sponsoring its Annually Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Kingstown Park from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Once again they will have the Golden eggs as a cash prize, ages 1-11 years old. There will also be face painting for the children. Everyone is invited to attend.
Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society
Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society - Saturday, March 19, 2016 is Rose Garden Pruning and Maintenance at the Library in Lincolnton, NC. They will meet at the Charles R. Jonas Library, 306 W. Main Street at 10:00am to prune the rose bushes, clean the rose beds, apply fertilize/lime and spray the rose garden for disease. Master Gardeners and individuals are welcome to come and help or observe the proper care of roses. Consulting Rosarians will be available to answer your rose questions. Refreshments will be served. Burns Middle School
Burns Middle School will be holding a fundraiser for the Burns Middle School Model United Nations group. They are holding a community yard sale on Saturday, March 19, 2016 and are in need of vendors, handicrafters, yard sellers, etc. to participate. Cost is a $5 fee to set up in the parking lot. All proceeds will go towards sending their students to the Middle School Model United Nations State Conference in Black Mountain.
Lost Playwrights, Hendersonville
Lost Playwrights will meet Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in Kapplan Auditorium of Henderson County Library, 301 North Washington Street, Hendersonville, NC. All persons interested in any aspect of theatre or creative writing are invited. There are no dues.
Foothills Post-Polio Support Group
The Foothills Post-Polio Support Group, formerly called the Cleveland County Post-Polio Support Group, will hold the meeting on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 6:00 pm, at the conference room of the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby, NC. The conference room is located at the back of the building. The center is located off Hwy 18 North on Life Enrichment Blvd, just north of Cornerstone Dentistry. The program will be presented by Dianne Garner on "Nutrition". Each person attending should bring his/her own meal. Drinks: coffee and water will be provided. Lincoln County Parks and Recreation
Lincoln County Parks and Recreation upcoming Camps: This year's Camp will be held March 28 - April 1, 2016 at East Lincoln Community Center in Denver for children Kindergarten thru 6th Grade. The total for the week is $95, or $20 per day. Summer Camp will begin on Monday, June 13, 2016, for rising 1st thru 6th Grade. American Legion Post 82 will have a Cruise-In Fund Raiser on Saturday, April 16, 2016, 10:00am to 2:00pm, 1628 S. Lafayette St. Suggested donation for vehicles entered in the cruise-in is $10.
