Relay for Life
The Angels of Hope team will hold a yard sale, Saturday, April 9, 2016, 7:00am until 12:00 noon, at 107 Twin Lake Drive, Boiling Springs, NC (turn at Old John Deere dealership onto W. Homestead and 2nd street to right. Lots of items to sell, collection of clowns, dolls, linens, clothes, baby furniture, household items, toys, pictures, frames, Carolina Panthers Sunday book and much more! Rain or shine. All monies go for Relay for Life!
Grand View Campground, Casar
Grand View Campground, 680 NC Hwy 226, Casar, NC, will be having a free Easter Celebration, Saturday, March 26, 2016, 12:00pm - 4:00pm. There will be an Easter egg hunt, arts and crafts, egg dying and refreshments. The Easter bunny will be stopping by for a visit and pictures. The hippo slide will be up and running free of charge. All events are free. Bring your own Easter basket for the egg hunt. Fun for all ages. They also have campsites available for rent, 704-472-3100.
Guardians of the Children of Cleveland County and John Knox Presbyterian Church
Guardians of the Children of Cleveland County and John Knox Presbyterian Church will be sponsoring an Easter Eggstravaganza Saturday, March 26, 2016, 11:00am - 3:00pm, at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 610 Charles Road, Shelby, NC. Easter egg hunt, face painting, games. Hotdog plates: Adults $5, kids eat free.
Lincoln County Parks and Recreation
Lincoln County Parks and Recreation upcoming Camps: This year's Camp will be held March 28 - April 1, 2016 at East Lincoln Community Center in Denver for children Kindergarten thru 6th Grade. The total for the week is $95, or $20 per day. Summer Camp will begin on Monday, June 13, 2016, for rising 1st thru 6th Grade. Lincoln County Parks and Recreation is now offering Pickelball! This program is being offered for all ages. Games are now being held at Block Smith Gym (130 Rhodes St., Lincolnton) on Thursdays starting at 11am and will continue through March. For more information, please call Drew at 704-748-1518.

They are now holding registration for their Spring Women's (age 21 and up) Softball League at East Lincoln Park in Denver. Games will be played on Sundays beginning April 3, 2016. Vietnam War Commemoration Event
The Jacob Forney Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lincolnton, NC extends an invitation to attend: A small program presented to those in attendance honoring Vietnam Veterans Day - The Final Withdrawal of US Troops from Vietnam Commemoration Event. The ceremony will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00am, at the east side of the Lincoln County Court House located at 1 Court Square, Lincolnton NC. The event ceremony will be held at the East Side of the Court House. Following the ceremony, there will be photographs at the Citizens Center, located on West Main Street, where the Vietnam War Commemoration Flag is being flown March 29 and March 30, 2016 in support and honor of our Vietnam veterans. Please pass the word to any Vietnam Veteran. The event is free and open to the public please let anyone you know who would be interested in attending this event know the Jacob Forney Chapter, NCSDAR is proud to host this event.

Cleveland County Schools presents "Cleveland County Elementary Honors Chorus" featuring 125+ select students from the following elementary schools: Bethware, Boiling Springs, Casar, East, Elizabeth, Fallston, Graham, Grover, James Love, Jefferson, Kings Mountain Intermediate, North, Marion Intermediate, Shelby Intermediate, Springmore, Township Three, Union, Washington, and West. All-day rehearsal at The Barnes Auditorium at Kings Mountain High School on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 8:30-12:00 and 12:45-2:15. (Please take pictures and do interviews during the later rehearsal time! Preferably around 1:45pm!) Performance Date: Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Malcolm-Brown Auditorium at Shelby High School, 7:00pm (free to public). Directed by select Music Teachers of Cleveland County Schools. Annual Boy Scout Fish Fry, Lawndale
The Annual Boy Scout Fish Fry will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, starting at 5:00pm, at the Community Center, Piedmont Drive, Lawndale, NC. Fish, slaw, hushpuppies, fries, tea and dessert, $10. South Mountain Family Camp
SMFC will host a groundbreaking ceremony and reception for the new Lodge on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Come and see the camp and learn more about the new motel like rooms we are adding to our "for rent" camp. The Lodge is located on the Great Meadow so the view is breathtaking. We have several weeks open for camp this summer so we welcome church youth groups, children's programs and many other group who would like a great place for a wonderful camp.

The Griggs Bluegrass Band and Heart 2 Heart Ministry, both from Stanley, NC will be doing a benefit at Lowesville Gospel Concerts - Living Word Ministries - 1062 South Hwy 16 - Lowesville (Stanley) Saturday, March 26, 2016, 6:00pm. All proceeds will go to RC and Joyce Dellinger for medical expenses. 2 hotdogs, beans, chips, drink, and plenty of homemade desserts will be served, beginning at 4:30pm.
