Burns High School Theatre Club
The Burns High School Theatre Club will perform "10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse" by Don Zolidis. Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc., New York, NY. The play will be Friday, March 31, 2017 at 7:00pm and Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 4:00pm in the Burns High School Little Theatre. Tickets are $5 at the door.
Casar's Easter Bash
Casar's Easter Bash Saturday, April 1, 2017, 2:00-7:00pm at Casar Park. We will have a 5,000 Egg Easter Egg, Live Music, Bouncy House, Crafts, Games, Senior Bingo (with prizes), & so much more! Fallston Elementary School
Fallston Elementary School will hold the 7th Biennial Top Dog Talent Showcase Friday, April 7, 2017 at Shelby High School's Malcolm Brown Auditorium at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:00pm). $5 Suggested Donation. Free for children 4 and under. DVD's will be available for order the night of the show. All proceeds go to the purchase of equipment for the Music Department.

Kings Mountain Historical Museum
The Kings Mountain Historical Museum, 100 East Mountain Street, Kings Mountain, NC, invites you to join them on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 5:30pm-6:30pm! Rose Senehi will be discussing her novel, "Carolina Belle". You will never look at an apple the same way again after reading Rose Senehi's most recent book, Carolina Belle. The story follows Belle McKenzie, a botanist and farmer who is obsessed with creating a "billion dollar" apple she'll call the Carolina Belle, and determined to rekindle the love her obsession has nearly destroyed. Recommended ages 18+.
The Lattimore Museum
The Lattimore Historical Museum is now open on Sunday from 12:30 - 3:00. It can be opened on other days by appointment. The Museum features several areas of interest such as local businesses, churches, schools, home, and agricultural. A viewing area with videos of local historians and residents is continually playing. There is a special room dedicated to Martha Mason (iron lung patient) and author of the book Breath.

City of Kings Mountain Easter Egg Hunt
HOP on down to the annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 10:00am, for a Hoppy Good Time! 10,000 prize and candy eggs will be hidden across 3 sections of the Mayor Rick Murphrey Children's Park (next to the YMCA) 211 Cleveland Ave, Kings Mountain, NC 28086. There will be three age categories - 2 years and under, 3-5 and 6-10 years old. The EGGstravaganza will include a petting zoo, music, and a visit from the Easter Bunny himself! Don't forget to bring your basket and camera! Along with all the fun, Parkwood Baptist Church will be providing free hotdogs!

Sons Of Confederate Veterans
The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Cleveland Regiments, Camp 1663, is a non-political Heritage Organization dedicated to the preservation of Confederate Symbols, and the reputation of the Confederate soldiers who fought honorably to defend their families and Country. The meet on the 4th Monday of each month at the Creekside Clock Restaurant, 1025 Kiser Street, Shelby, NC. Habitat for Humanity Cleveland County
Habitat is taking initial applications for its 2017 Home Build now through April 15, 2017. The applicant must be able to make no interest house payments of $475 to $550 a month, must have a real need for better housing, must live in Cleveland County, and must be willing to partner with Habitat by completing "sweat equity" on the home and by attending Homeowner Workshops. The typical Habitat home has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and is approximately 1100 square feet. Applications may be picked up at the Habitat ReStore, 323 W. Grover St., Shelby or to receive an application by mail, call the Habitat office at 704-482-6200. In order to be considered, completed initial applications must be received by the Habitat office no later than April 15, 2017. Habitat is an Equal Housing Opportunity organization.
