Hands on Missions of Shelby, NC, will host a Spring Fest from 7:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, May 14, 2016. The day will begin with a yard sale from 7:00am until. Children will be entertained with games, face painting, and athletic activities from 9:00-2:00. Cherryville Little Theatre Auditions
Cherryville Little Theatre announces the auditions for Legally Blonde Jr. A production that follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. Legally Blonde, Jr is an energetic musical production that offers roles of various types. Auditions are Sun.-Mon., May 15-16, 2016 at Cherryville Little Theatre. Foothills Post-Polio Support Group
The Foothills Post-Polio Support Group, formerly called the Cleveland County Post-Polio Support Group, will hold the meeting on Monday, May 16, 2016, at 6:00pm at the conference room of the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby. The conference room is located at the back of the building. The center is located off Hwy 18 North on Life Enrichment Blvd, just north of Cornerstone Dentistry. Linda Cabaniss will speak to us at this meeting on normal aging versus Alzheimer's disease symptoms. Each person attending should bring his/her own meal. Drinks: coffee and water will be provided. If you are a polio survivor and would like to attend, they would love to see you there! Feel free to bring a caregiver with you. Cleveland County Humane Society 12th annual Paws and Balls Golf Tournament will be held, Friday, May 20, 2016, at Deer Brook Golf Club. Shotgun start at 1:00. Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society
The Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society will meet at 2:30pm, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Cleveland County Office Building, 130 S. Post Rd., Shelby, NC next to Food Lion. Rose Society members and guests will bring cut roses from their garden and learn how to prepare entries for a rose show. How rose entries are judged will be explained.
