Paws and Balls Golf Tournament
Cleveland County Humane Society 12th annual Paws and Balls Golf Tournament will be held, Friday, May 20, 2016, at Deer Brook Golf Club. Shotgun start at 1:00. Extension Master Gardener Plant Sale
Extension Master Gardener will hold their Annual Plant Sale Saturday, May 21, 2016, 9:00am - 12:00 noon, at the Cooperative Extension Office Auditorium, 130 South Post Road, Shelby, NC. To enhance the usual plant selections found in our local nurseries, the Cleveland County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers have organized their Third Annual Plant Sale. This annual affair is an educational and fund-raising event. The Plant Sale will feature perennials, herbs, annuals and house plants that the Master Gardeners have been propagating and potting for months to insure you have an interesting selection. Cash only. Infinite Possibilities Family Home DayCare presents the first annual free community baby shower Saturday, May 21, 2016, 12:00-2:00pm, at Cleveland County Library. Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society
The Cleveland/Lincoln County Rose Society will meet at 2:30pm, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the Cleveland County Office Building, 130 S. Post Rd., Shelby, NC next to Food Lion. Rose Society members and guests will bring cut roses from their garden and learn how to prepare entries for a rose show. How rose entries are judged will be explained. Hospice Cleveland County
Hospice Cleveland County needs volunteers who are Military Veterans to visit with our Veteran patients. Terry Floyd, Hospice Cleveland County Chaplain, will share information on this topic. Veterans Memorial Day Program, Cleveland County
Cleveland County, Veterans Advisory Council will be hosting it's annual Veterans Memorial Day Program, Sunday, May 29, 2016, at 2:00pm, at the Cleveland Memorial Park, 1225 College Avenue, Highway 150, near Boiling Springs, NC. (Inclement weather: Mausoleum Chapel). Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice serving our country. Please come out and remember our fallen heroes.
Memorial Day Ceremony, Casar
Monday, May 30, 2016, a Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 11:00am at Casar Park. There will be a Dedication of the new monument honoring all of our Veterans at the Ceremony. Free reception after the ceremony. Everyone is welcome!

The Cleveland County Branch NAACP will be hosting its Annual Rev. M. L. Campbell Membership Banquet on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 6:00pm at the Shiloh Baptist Church Mary Weathers Family Life Center, 1000 Frederick Street, Shelby, NC 28150. The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Travis McEntyre, Pastor of the Harvest House Baptist Church, Mooresboro, NC, and President of the Rutherford County Branch NAACP.
