West Marion Street Neighborhood Association
The West Marion Street Neighborhood Association will hold a public meeting for West Marion Street residents on Monday, April 4, 2016, at 6:00pm, at the Cleveland County Memorial Library in Shelby, NC. Matt Melvin, crime prevention officer for Shelby Police Department, will discuss various neighborhood Watch Program and Next Door, a neighborhood private social networking application used by other Shelby neighborhoods to help neighbors communicate and interact with police on safety and security issues. Cleveland County Schools presents "Cleveland County Elementary Honors Chorus" featuring 125+ select students from the following elementary schools: Bethware, Boiling Springs, Casar, East, Elizabeth, Fallston, Graham, Grover, James Love, Jefferson, Kings Mountain Intermediate, North, Marion Intermediate, Shelby Intermediate, Springmore, Township Three, Union, Washington, and West. All-day rehearsal at The Barnes Auditorium at Kings Mountain High School on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 8:30-12:00 and 12:45-2:15. (Please take pictures and do interviews during the later rehearsal time! Preferably around 1:45pm!) South Mountain Family Camp
SMFC will host a groundbreaking ceremony and reception for the new Lodge on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 10:00am. Come and see the camp and learn more about the new motel like rooms we are adding to our "for rent" camp. The Lodge is located on the Great Meadow so the view is breathtaking. We have several weeks open for camp this summer so we welcome church youth groups, children's programs and many other group who would like a great place for a wonderful camp.

The Guardians of the Children will be holding a Car/Bike Show and Drag Racing Event. Proceeds will be going to support the Cleveland County Chapter.
