Lincolnton Lions Club Christmas Party For Blind
Have you or a family member been diagnosed as legally blind or visually impaired and reside in Lincoln County? Tammy Loukos, Lincoln County Social Worker For The Blind, with the NC Division of Services For The Blind and the Lincolnton Lions Club needs your help. According to the NC Division of Services for the Blind, their definition of legal blindness is “your central acuity of 20/200 or worse, with the best correction, in both eyes, or loss of visual filed so that no more than 20 degrees is remaining.” Their definition of “visually impaired is central visual acuity of 20/70 or worse in both eyes, with best correction or 30 degree field limitation.” Each year, Ms. Loukos updates her list of blind/visually impaired children and adults residing in Lincoln County to share with the Lincolnton Lions Club to invite to their annual Lions Club Christmas Party/Luncheon for the Blind. Unfortunately, during the past year, many of our county’s blind/visually impaired have been born, died, or moved without any of their families notifying Ms. Loukos. That’s why, she would appreciate you or your family calling her at 704-732-9024 to schedule an appointment to update your address and contact information.
