|Nellie White Shuford Camp
| Nellie White Shuford Camp, 81, of 801 E. Marion Street, Shelby, passed away
Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at her home.
Born July 11, 1932 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late
Ivey Victor White and Selma Champion White. She was retired from Superior
Dental Laboratory and was a member of Palm Tree United Methodist Church ,
the United Methodist Women, and the Chancel Choir. Nellie enjoyed playing
rook, visiting friends and those sick, singing and baking cakes, and she
always remembered to send cards. Nellie will be fondly remembered for her
love of angels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands,
Charles Herbert Shuford and Jerry Douglas Camp, and one daughter, Debbie
Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Tony & Joy Shuford of Lawndale,
step daughter, Tammy Camp Trammell and husband, Scott of Shelby, step son,
Doug Camp and wife, Debbie of Troy, OH, seven grandchildren, Jordan & Ivy
Shuford, Jody Carroll, Kalan & Emily Trammel, and Chad & Lauren Camp and
special caregivers Nell Hernandez, Karlee Turner, and Jerry Poston.
Visitation will be 6:00PM until 7:30PM Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home. At
other times, the family will be at the home of Tony & Joy Shuford 327 Oak
Grove-Clover Hill Church Rd. Lawndale, NC.
The funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday at Palm Tree United Methodist
Church with Dr. Eric Davis and Rev. Cher Lue Vang officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
