Newell Dean Sain, age 71, of Flay Sain Road, died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Newell Dean was born in Lincoln County on February 22, 1941, the son of the late Flay W. and Lois Odell Carpenter Sain. He was a self-employed house carpenter and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Farrell Sain and a infant boy, and a sister Thelma Sain.
Survivors: Wife, Nancy Brittain Sain, of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law: Dean and Debbie Sain , Tony and Teresa Sain, all of Cherryville. Three (3) Grandchildren: Ravanne Sain, Cody Sain and Dillon Sain.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Carpenter’s Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00PM Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Key officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
