Nicholas Edward Burkhardt, age 35, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Hospice Wendover in Shelby, NC.

Born on November 20, 1986, he was the son of Robert and Sharon Matzas Burkhardt.

In addition to his parents, Nicholas is survived by his two sisters, Celeste Burkhardt of Shelby, NC, Alicia Burkhardt of Denver, CO and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral mass will be held 10:00AM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at St. Mary Help of Christians Parish with Rev. Fr. Peter Ascik Celebrant. A Vigil Service will be held 6:30PM Friday, June 10, 2022 at the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral with Deacon James Trombley. The family will receive friends following the Vigil Service.
