Nishie Ann Whitworth, of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC and the daughter of the late Grover Lee Whitworth, Sr. and the late Tishie Mae Wilson Whitworth.

Nishie had contagious energy and an unconditional love for others. Before she became ill, she was known to spread her love by helping people throughout the community. She was a true missionary and a faithful lifetime member of Washington Missionary Baptist Church.

Nishie retired from the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her last place of employment was Heath House in Lincolnton, NC.

Nishie was preceded in death by her mother, Tishie Mae Wilson Whitworth and her father, Grover Lee Whitworth, Sr.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Tony Whitworth Sr. (Constance) of Cherryville, NC; William Malachi III of Charlotte, NC; and Reginald Whitworth of Kings Mountain, NC; nine grandchildren, Tony Jr., Devonta, Jocelyn, LaTesha, Shaniya, Malia, William IV, Kaleb, Emily, and seven wonderful great-grandchildren.

Also left to mourn this loss are four aunts; Ruby Mackey, Louise Hoke, Janice Friday and Carolyn Wilson; her four sisters; Betty Hopper, Goldene Kee, Brenda Floyd (James), Blondie Chambers and one brother, Grover Whitworth Jr.; her special friends, Jillanna, Heather, Brenda, Spring and Debra, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The funeral service for Ms. Whitworth will be private. The service will be livestreamed on Facebook starting at 10:45 AM on Friday, October 30, 2020. Burial will take place at Washington Missionary Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The family will be receiving friends at 244 Tobe Bridge Rd. in Kings Mountain on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 2:30 PM until 6:30 PM. Ms. Whitworth can be viewed on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com.
