Nita Wylie Williams age 58 of Furnace Road Ext. died October 24, 2012 at Catawba Valley Hospice and Palliative Care in Newton. Nita was born November 30, 1953 in Gaston County a daughter of the late Carroll and Beulah Patterson Wylie. She was a homemaker and attended church at Gospel Way Baptist Church, Cherryville, NC.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Carson Williams, two brothers, Vic Wylie and Richard Wylie and a sister, Geraldine McDaniel.
Survivors include her sons, Chad Wylie of Lincolnton and James Wylie of Crouse a daughter, Leslie Williams of Raleigh, six grandchildren, a brother, Darvin Wylie of Cherryville and two sisters Macie Wylie of Shelby and Katherine Helms of Vale,
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM at City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday October 26, at Carpenter’s Funeral Home.
