Odie Monroe Pickler

Gaffney -- Odie Monroe Pickler, 86, of 305 Pecan Street, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 14th, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Albemarle, he was the husband of Betty Jean Smith Pickler and the son of the late Joseph Maxwell Pickler and Flora Van Poplin Pickler. Mr. Pickler previously worked as the service manager for numerous Ford dealerships and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Odie was also a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pickler is survived by two step-sons, Jimmy Driver of Salisbury, NC and Ralph Johnson of Gaffney; two step-daughters, Geraldine Driver Gray of Brasselton, GA and Diane Pittman of Forest City, NC; one sister, Cathryn Moore and husband, H.K., of Blacksburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Pickler was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Wayne Pickler.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, from 3 - 4pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney. Funeral services will follow at 4 pm in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel with Rev. Wofford Caughman officiating.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 204 W Oneal St, Gaffney, SC 29340.
