Ola Mae Towery Greene, 97, of Lawndale, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton.
She was born in Cleveland County on May 20, 1917 to the late George Towery and Flossie McNeely Towery Hoyle. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Casar.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Greene; two sons, Thomas Greene and Bobby Greene; brother, Claude Towery and sister, Lizzie York.
She is survived by a son, Carroll Greene and wife Susie of Hickory; four daughters, Brenda Hudson and husband Clyde of Casar; Evelyn Wallace and husband Michael of Hickory; Diane Hudson and husband Odell of Lawndale, and
Reba Martin and husband David of Hickory; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
Visitation: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home and Cremation Center
Graveside Service: 1:00 PM at North Brook Baptist Church Cemetery, Officiating: Rev. Keith Fulbright
