Gaffney -- Oma Ree Childers Bryson, 60, of 420 Wilkie Road, passed away Wednesday, March 15th, 2017, at her residence.

Born in Blacksburg, she was the wife of Rodney Eugene Bryson and the daughter of the late Marion Smith, Jr. and Ruth Margaret Childers Smith. Mrs. Bryson retired as a Nursing Assistant and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bryson is survived by one son, Travis Eugene Bryson of Blacksburg; one daughter, Margaret Pauline Bryson of Gaffney; one brother, Boyce Larry Childers of Gaffney; one sister, Cindy Sue Childers of Gaffney; and four grandchildren, Austin Travis Bryson of Gaffney, Desiree Anne Pouillon, Destiny Leigh Pouillon, and KateLynn Mary James, all of Blacksburg.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward J. D. Childers, and her step-dad, Marion Smith Jr.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 17th, 2017, from 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm at Buffalo Baptist Church, 618 Old Buffalo Church Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 pm with Dr. Bruce Price officiating. Interment will follow at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery. Travis Bryson, Charles Petty, Joe Fowler, Billy Wyatt, Greg Smith, and Derrick Smith will serve as pallbearers.
