Ora V. Norman Oaks, 91, of 324 Vic Randall Rd, Lawndale, died Sunday, April
15, 2012 at her residence.
Born May 19, 1920 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Vance
Andy Norman and Margaret Ella Randall Norman. She was retired from Lily
Mill as a winder and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church,Shelby.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James
Clayman Oaks; son, James Randy Oaks; and a great grandson, Jacob Apple.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Lee Turner and husband, Michael E.
Turner of Cleveland County; a brother, Floyd Andy Norman of Cherryville; a
sister, Vertie Lee Norman McDaniel of Shelby; two granchildren, Sharon
Melissa Swink Adams and husband, James and Bruce Kevin Swink; and four
great-grandchildren, Taylor Apple, Adriana Apple, Caleb Adams and Keegan
Adams.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Wednesday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston.
Officiating: Dr. Tim Sims
Burial: Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church
