| Orean D. Fail, age 75, of Old Post Rd, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 6, 1939 in Bamberg, SC to the late John Wilton and Eva Mae Carroll Fail. He was a member of Living Word Ministries and previously served in the National Guard. He was retired from Cherryville Post Office and was formerly employed at Doran Mills. He enjoyed carpentry and craft work.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Rev. Dorothy Wood Fail; sons, Randy Fail (Ruby), Brian Fail (Tammy), and Chris Fail (Melinda) all of Cherryville; daughter, Vickie Huss (Frank) of Cherryville; grandsons, Jordan, Brandon, and Joshua Fail all of Cherryville; two brothers; three sisters; and his cat, Sissy.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Larry Brewton officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
