Orena Ann Humphries Snyder, 86, of 135 College Manor Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Born in Cliffside, NC, she was first married to the late Ralph Linburg Ivey, the widow of the late Clifford Wayne Snyder, the daughter of the late Ella Bradley Humphries and reared in the home of the late Martin & Minnie Bradley. She was a retired waitress and a member of Camps Creek Baptist Church. She loved her family, gardening, yardwork, cleaning her home and traveling.

Surviving is a son, Tony Ivey (Loretta) of Spartanburg; a daughter, Brenda Kay McSwain (Larry) of Shelby, NC; four brothers, Billy Humphries (Brenda) of Shelby, NC, Allen Humphries (Sylvia) of Ellenboro, NC, Jerry Humphries (Shirley) of Shelby, NC and Kenneth Humphries (Revonda) of Boiling Springs, NC; three sisters, Cenie Moore (Joe), Imogene Alexander, both of Boiling Springs, NC and Sybil Sarratt of Shelby, NC; sisters-in-law, Florence Humphries, Kim Humphries and Revonda S. Humphries, all of Shelby, NC; grandchildren, Deedee Rose, Dinky McSwain, Tiffany Loftis (Sean) and Daniel Ivey; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald Humphries, Bud Humphries and David Humphries.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Blakely Funeral Home. Cryptside services will follow at 1:00 PM in Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Reverend Steve Durham, Reverend Aubrey Folk and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Social distancing and masks are requested.
