Oscar “Pop” Oved Trammel
 Mr. Oscar “Pop” Oved Trammell, 82, of 112 Jaguar Lane, died Sun., Nov. 27th, 2011 at Crawley Memorial Hospital.  A native of S. Carolina, he was the son of the late Charles and Lily Moree Trammell.  He served in the Army during the Korean War, retired from Dorsey’s Furniture of Charlotte and was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church where he was a former deacon, Sunday school teacher, and adult Sunday school director. 

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Hamrick Trammell, of the home; two daughters, Teresa Hardin and husband George of Patterson Springs, Pam Franks of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Amy Cunningham of Lenoir, Aaron Franks and wife Amanda of Morganton, Jessica Franks of Lenoir, Jennifer Costello and husband Billy, Kim Johnson and husband David, all of Patterson Springs; six great grandchildren, Dakota Cunningham, Deacon Robinson, Kaleb Franks, Wesley and Tyler Costello, Makenzie Johnson.

SERVICES: 2pm, Tuesday, at Patterson Springs Baptist Church

VISITATION: 6-7:30pm, Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at his home.

CLERGY: Rev. Steve Waters

BURIAL: Burial will follow in the church cemetery
