Blacksburg -- Patricia Ann Young Young, 77, of 411 South Shelby Street, passed away Sunday, November 5th, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Roy Conrad Young Sr. and Ida Marie Wilkins Young. Ms. Young previously worked in the parks and recreation department for the City of Charlotte and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. In addition to her family, she loved cooking, working in her yard, and woodworking.

Surviving Ms. Young are one sister, Vicki Parker, and husband, Fred, of Inman; one brother, Roy C. Young Jr, and wife, Candy, of Seneca; one nephew, Geoffery Blake Parker; and five nieces, Betsy Parker Sanchez, Katie Parker, Anna Lisa Young Sheriff, Jennifer Marie Young Erwin, and Taylor Wilkes Young.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Young was preceded in death by a niece, Inge Parker.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 9th, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at St. John's United Methodist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Don Boshell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
