| Patricia Burchfield Sexton, 66, 221 John's Cross Road, Blacksburg, SC, died July 11, 2012. A native of Gastonia, NC, she was the wife of the late Marion P. Sexton, Sr. and a daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Mary Horton Burchfield. She was first married to the late Johnny Shields. She was a member of Upper Room Tabernacle, Gastonia, NC. She was retired from Pharr Yarns.
She is survived by daughters - Shelley Phillips and husband, Tim, Bessemer City, NC; and Beth Sexton and husband, JR, Blacksburg, SC. Grandchildren - Amber Skutda and husband, Doug; Matthew Sexton, Megan Freeman, Maddie Freeman, Christopher Davis, Jessica Davis, Sarah Geoltz, Alan Geoltz and Amanda Geoltz. Great-grandchildren - Gabriel, Grace, Leah and Nathaniel. Brother - Bud Burchfield of Bessemer City, NC. Sisters - Evelyn Davis and husband, Mac, of Blacksburg, SC; and Brenda Hyleman and husband, Ken, of Chester, SC. Special nieces and nephews - Bunky Henderson, Sissy Rhyne, Cathy Clubb and husband, Gary; Kenny Hyleman and Eddie Hyleman. In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by a brother - Hub Burchfield.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012, 1:00 PM, graveside, at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly, NC, with Rev. Norman Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM at the cemetery. At other times, they will be at their respective homes.
Pallbearers serving are Dylan Johnson, Tyler Moore, Kyle Cunningham, Ben Cunningham, Kelly Mason and Marshall Burchfield.
