Patsy Phifer age 87 died Tuesday January 19, 2016 at Cleveland Pines. Born in Cleveland County on September 2, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Sibley Burton and Margaret Ella McCurry Manous. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught a children's Sunday School Class. She was a former Den Mother for Troop #3 at First Baptist Church. She was a Pink Lady volunteer at Carolinas Healthcare-Cleveland. Patsy was a devoted wife and loving mother. In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by a brother, T. C. Manous

Patsy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert L. Phifer; two sons, Dale Phifer and wife Elaine of Kings Mountain and Patrick Phifer and wife Debbie of Shelby; a daughter, Debra Phifer Ellman and husband Robert of Charlotte; a sister, Beverly Price of Shelby; four grandchildren, Ashley Phifer Curtis, Tria Fore, Jordan Phifer, and Alisa Phifer; and three great grandchildren, Zavier Curtis, Trinity Curtis, and Addie Fore.

Memorial service will be held on Monday January 25, 2016 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tony Tench officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
