Patsy Sweezy Stroud, age 82, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County, on September 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillie Neal Sweezy. Patsy was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and retired from Hoechst Celanese as a Lab Tech. Patsy enjoyed reading and watching QVC. In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Causby.

Patsy is survived by two daughters, Sheree Williams of Shelby and Ann Stroud and husband Adam Roper of Cherryville; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service.
